Greetings!

I must admit I felt a twinge of guilt yesterday. Jeremiah, Bro. John Holmes, and myself were taking the wings off of the Stinson project enjoying the +64 degrees in the Carolinas when it was -40 F in Fairbanks! A difference of over 100 degrees! Ouch.

I have been pleased with the response that we have received from our prayer support team regarding the broadening of our aviation outreach. There is only so much one pilot can fly, and it is not always cost efficient to fly the larger plane. There are missionaries who are trained pilots, but have not been able to raise the funds to purchase a plane, and would use it reaching other villages close to them. There are times in the summer when I have volunteer pilots from the lower-48 and two or three flights needed in different directions! Mission Air Care could “assign” a plane to a missionary, thereby helping him to be much more efficient.

By God's grace, our diligent efforts to live and minister above reproach seam to be reaping unexpected dividends. We are being offered unneeded aircraft at greatly reduced prices from different ministries who know & trust us. Please pray that we won't betray this trust.

Although I've had several suggestions to take out loans to purchase theses planes, I don't have peace about putting the ministry in debt. And, instead of starting a “fund raising campaign”, I prefer to start a “prayer campaign”. When we needed an all weather airplane, our friends prayed and God showed Himself mighty, and proved when He says “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”, he means it. I've often wondered if I had trusted Him more, maybe He would have provided enough for us to keep our single engine plane?

Regardless, would you join us again? Would you pray the simple prayer, “Lord if it is your will, please provide either the funds or the planes need to Mission Air Care.”

All airplanes are expensive. But the latest offer was for a Cessna 182 that is in Alaska is not (relatively speaking). Unlike the Stinson, it is in airworthy condition, and the church group is asking $25,000 for it. At this present time, our first airplane (the one at the top of this page) is still available for $85,000.
