We were unable to travel to Manley on Saturday. One of the reasons was the 40 mph wind blowing across the mountains you have to cross on the way, that is, if you drive instead of fly. These winds cause poor visibility and blow snow drifts across the road...and there are no guard rails. The winds were suppose to die down overnight. So we waited.

Some people think bigger is always better. Well, our little group in Manley Hot Springs was probably smaller than most, but it was a joy to hear several children reading from the Gospels and singing Christian Christmas hymns! Of the 50 or so living in the village, around 30 |

Praise the Lord for the folks who came to church at -20F this weekend. We had a total of nine (9) show up this beautiful, crisp, Sunday morning! We were missing some. Three were out on their trap line, two don't fly in when it's colder than -20 (it was -35 at their cabin!), and one is on his way back from TN. Remember, there are only around 60 in the village!

Manley Baptist Fellowship is a group of Believers who either live in, or within 40 miles of Manley Hot Springs, Alaska. It is not unusual for folks to fly in, boat or 4-wheeler in (in the summer), snow machine in (in the winter), or just walk in for services on Sunday!
