How little chance the Holy Ghost has nowadays.  The churches  and missionary societies have so bound Him in red tape that they practically ask Him to sit in a cornner while they do the work themselves.  --C.T. Studd--

Even a casual look at churches in America reveals a major departure from the teaching of God.  Americans who call themselves Christians, when confronted with the claims of Christ verses the current world view, seem to agree with the fair weather disciples “… This is an hard saying; who can hear it?”  (JN 6:60).  May our God help us to say with His true disciples “Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” (JN 6:68).  Christ died for us; why should we be more loyal to a political party, celebrity, or religious institution when they stray from the Laws of God?

Sometimes our lives resemble an old plow mule; just plowing along.  Other times we resemble something more of an icicle!  Recently, I’d say our life resembles

more of a tennis ball;  Bouncing back and forth.  As many of you may remember, when Earl’s mom passed away, we had to fly to Florida to hold the funeral.  Then Earl and Jeremiah traveled back to Alaska, while Lynn needed to stay in NC.  Jeremiah left Alaska in September for Bible college in NC, and Earl left again to attend the missions conference of our sending church, preached at a men’s conference in NH, and met with several of our friends who have aviation ministries down south.  By the time most of you read this, Earl and Lynn will be back in Manley Hot Springs, AK again.  Whew!

Missionaries David and Tammy Youngblood have been a blessing to many church planters in Alaska.  They graciously agreed to fill in for Earl while at Manley Hot Springs, and have been a blessing to folks in Manley as well as us.  It takes a special family to agree to stay in a house with no running water, an outhouse, wood heat, and a generator for electricity!  Please pray for them as they launch out on their next assignment in the village of Unalakleet, AK.  What a blessing this family is!

Flights Mission Air Care in Alaska have slowed down for the Fall and Winter.  But we praise the Lord for a summer of safe flying for camps, evangelistic out reaches, and missionary support.  Souls have heard the Gospel, some have accepted the Gospel and been birthed into the family of God.  Missionaries have been helped and encouraged and their dollar has gone farther.  Thank you for your prayers and support which enables us to serve in this way.  The attendance at the little church is steady, and we are excited be involved in the discipleship process in so many lives.  Please pray for God’s Word will take root in hearts and will impact their lives.

We are still receiving notes from many of you telling us you are praying for us after Earl’s mom’s home-going.  It’s hard to put into words how much your prayers mean to us.  Thank you very much.  It does mean a lot to us.

Prayer requests:  As our Lord prompts you to pray for us, would you also pray for our son, Jeremiah, as he finishing up a semester at Anchor Baptist College, in Pisgah Forest, NC.  Also, please pray for Lynn’s health to improve.  Her Doctor recently moved out of Alaska, and with the changes in the health care laws, it’s getting increasingly difficult for her to find suitable care.  We’re glad our trust is in the Lord and not the government!  Lastly, would you pray that we will keep our hearts stayed upon the Lord?  We are eternally grateful for the prayers and gifts of God’s children, but we know that ultimately our God is The One Who is providing every good and perfect gift.

Without MAC five young men wouldn't have been saved

Your friendship and help over the years has been a real blessing. Without MAC (Mission Air Care) five young men wouldn't have been saved. These young men are still active in our ministry and helped all week with VBS.
