                                                                                   June 2013
Faithful prayer partners and supporters,

We trust this update finds you enjoying the blessings from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”  Lamentations 3:22  He was good to us when He allowed us to stay on Bro. Don Hall’s farm as a home base to travel to and from our supporting churches.  3 John 1:6-7 “… whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well: Because that for his name's sake they went forth.”  We are thankful for traveling mercies from the Dakota’s to Florida, and from Maine to Texas during this time of furlough.  So far, we have visited almost half or our supporting churches.  There have been some close calls and a couple break-downs; just enough to keep Earl awake and alert!

Thank you for praying for Lynn’s health.  We know the Lord always hears and answers our prayers, but sometimes His perfect will is to answer our prayer with, “No. My grace is sufficient.”  So, it’s humbling when He graciously says, “yes.”  Lynn’s health continues to improve, albeit, not as quickly as she would like.  Even after a great deal of traveling over the last several weeks, she is doing fairly well.  So, please keep praying!

Over the last couple months, we have had several matters arise in Alaska that required our personal attention and we sensed the need for a short trip back to Alaska.  It was a struggle making the decision to purchase tickets for only a four week trip, but looking back on it, we are glad we did.  Critical maintenance was performed on the plane, Bible Camp flying was completed safely, God ordained meetings were accomplished, and important services were held in Manley.

Knowing he was going to Bible college this fall, Jeremiah wanted to (and was able to) work at the remote Bible camp that he usually attends as a camper and Earl flies native teens to from villages around the state.  This year the little church in Manley was able to send eight teens from our village too.  Imagine how excited we were to learn 6 of them received Christ during that week!  The Sunday before we had to come back to the lower-48 Earl baptized 4 of the teens and 2 adult men.  Please pray that these will grow in grace and knowledge of their God.
Each service during the month of June, attendance was around 35-45 in this little village of 60-90 residents!  On one visit on a Sunday night, an elderly lady responded to the Gospel and received Christ!  Donna and her husband live in a remote area and “off the grid.”     They had started coming to church back in 2012, but they were trusting a false religion and “good works” to earn their way into heaven and earn the grace of God.  Please pray for Donna and her husband.  He doesn't understand that it is, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” Titus 3:5   Also, please pray for David and Pat Crispell while they are filling in for us at Manley until we arrive back in September.  What a blessing they are!

As for our short term plans, they have had to be adjusted.  Our plans are to continue updating our supporting churches and friends through August and then start driving back to Alaska in September - after we drop of Jeremiah in Fargo, ND at Master's Baptist College.  Please pray for him AND Mom and Dad.  There is much more that the Lord is doing, but it's hard to put it all down in a short letter.  Just know that your prayers and financial support are storing you treasures in Heaven.   "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty."  Proverbs 11:24

You will never know this side of eternity how much of a blessing you are to our family and those who we serve.

God bless you as you serve Him,

Church Planting

Manley Baptist Fellowship is a group of Believers who either live in, or within 40 miles of Manley Hot Springs, Alaska.  It is not unusual for folks to fly in, boat or 4-wheeler in (in the summer), snow machine in (in the winter), or just walk in for services on Sunday!

Without MAC five young men wouldn't have been saved

Your friendship and help over the years has been a real blessing. Without MAC (Mission Air Care) five young men wouldn't have been saved. These young men are still active in our ministry and helped all week with VBS.
