Happy 2018!
I trust each of you had a blessed Christmas and New Years!  Am I the only one who feels like the months and years speed by faster and faster, the older I get?  This time of year, I try to set aside time to reflect on what was accomplished the previous year, make plans, and set goals for the coming year.  There are two traps we can fall into as we reflect on the previous year.  First, we can allow the trials and failures to discourage us from attempting great things for God.  Second, we can become satisfied with past victories, and coast without effort.  May God help us to strive as the apostle Paul did when he said,  “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before”. (Phil 3:13)
Like many of you, the last few months of 2017 were filled with opportunity and struggles.  Like you as well, we all try to maximize the opportunity and minimize the struggles.  Mission Air Care was able to perform annual inspections and repairs on two more ministry airplanes.  Both ministry genuinely expressed their gratefulness for the labor that went in to ensuring their aircraft was safe and legal to continue serving in the ministry.  MAC doesn’t charge for these services, so each of you who pray and give, in order that I can do what I do, will reap rewards from heaven, as these ministries endeavor to serve our Lord.
I have begun the annual inspection on our ministry plane also.  It fills our little hangar up.  It’s in a thousand pieces now, but I’m about to start the reassembly process.  Funds are tight, but I’m sure the Lord will provide for the needs.  Since He transferred us down to NC, some churches and individuals no longer support us.  The challenge is balancing the aviation work, updating churches, along with the raising of support.
Another challenge has been the re-design of our web site and some serious interruptions of our email.  The new website will be well done, and very informative, once it’s finally complete.  It should be up and running by our next update.
We have made new prayer cards.  Feel free to request them, if needed.  Anything good that is accomplished is because of God’s grace, and your prayers on our behalf.  Thank each of you for your prayers.
Speaking of prayers, if our Lord brings us to your mind, please pray for open doors to share the Gospel with those I come in contact daily.  Our God is “not willing that any should perish” and I want to tell people how they can escape Hell.  Please pray for Lynn’s and Jeremiah’s health.  And please continue to pray for the laborers who are heading here to help, the Holaday family and Holmes family.
As I write this update to you who faithfully pray and support this ministry, I’m reminded what a great honor is ours, to serve as an extension of your ministry.  Thank you.
